Roberts has more than 25 years of experience selling advertising production services, design and print to retail companies and design firms nationwide. He has a proven track record of helping major retailers increase traffic and sales through advertising production, direct mail and technological solutions. In his position at Allen Press, Roberts will continue to work with retail clients and design firms as they use these creative solutions to achieve their goals.

Roberts comes to Allen Press from Colortek and was previously a sales executive at Vertis Inc., Mozaic Inc. and Missouri Color Prepress. During his career Roberts has worked with major retailers and design firms such as Kohls Department Store, Barkley, Price Chopper Grocers, Valu Merchandisers and Payless Shoe Source.

Rinke and Preston-Cargill Promoted to VP Roles

LAWRENCE, Kan. – May 24, 2016 Allen Press, Inc. is happy to announce that Julie Rinke has been promoted to Vice President of Business Support Services and Maria Preston-Cargill to Vice President of Marketing.

Rinke has added purchasing, scheduling and inventory management to her responsibilities in addition to estimating and contracts, which she managed previously. Preston-Cargill is responsible for developing products and services, managing the brand, and spearheading all corporate communications. She will continue to oversee the Publishing department as well.

“Maria and Julie have established themselves as excellent, team-focused leaders,” said Allen Press CEO Randy Radosevich. “Their industry and company knowledge are an asset to everyone who interacts with them. They were invaluable resources to me when I began in January and I am happy to share the responsibility of leadership with them during this exciting time of growth at Allen Press.”

Rinke and Preston- Cargill serve on the executive leadership team, which includes CEO Randy Radosevich, President Rand Allen, COO Dee Ann Berry, VP of Production John Rodriguez and VP of Sales Martine Padilla.

Rinke joined Allen Press in 1988 as a Data Collection Administrator. Significantly, she has led multiple teams though changes in the printing industry. Most recently, Rinke served as Director of Client Solutions. Rinke holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas.

Preston-Cargill joined Allen Press in 2011 as a Publisher and has since served as Publishing and Advertising Sales Manager and Director of Publishing. Prior to joining Allen Press, she served as Director of Marketing at The World Company and Director of Sales and Marketing at Sunflower Broadband.

Preston-Cargill earned a Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, both from the University of Kansas.

Cross Honored with CSE Distinguished Service Award

LAWRENCE, Kan. – May 19, 2016 – On Monday, the Council of Science Editors (CSE) recognized Tim Cross, Allen Press Product Education Manager, with a Distinguished Service Award.

Cross has served as a CSE volunteer in a variety of positions for more than 10 years and served as President in 2014-2015. The Distinguished Service award recognizes his contributions to furthering scientific communications and his commitment to CSE and its programs.

“Through his work with CSE, TIm has forged connections with science editor organizations in other countries and helped industry newcomers get connected,” said Maria Preston-Cargill, Vice President of Marketing at Allen Press. “Tim’s awareness of key trends in the scholarly communication industry has  made him a invaluable asset to CSE’s membership.”

As Product Education Manager, Cross manages a portfolio of products that serve scholarly and association customers and curates Allen Press’s annual Emerging Trends educational seminar.

Cross received the award at the CSE Annual Meeting, in Denver, Colorado earlier this week.

David Mack Joins Allen Press as Director of Prepress and Digital

LAWRENCE, Kan. – May 18, 2016 Allen Press, Inc. announces that David Mack joins the team as Director of Prepress and Digital.

“We are excited to have David start collaborating and working with our current staff to find new ways to optimize our prepress operations,” said John Rodriguez, Allen Press Vice President of Production. “He will play an important role in moving our Prepress department forward.”

Mack has over 17 years of prepress management and specializes in optimizing prepress structures and workflows to maximize efficiencies.

Previously, Mack managed prepress operations for Cadmus Communications (Cenveo Publisher Services) and R.R. Donnelley. Most recently Mack was responsible for premedia operations for Trojan Press, Inc. in Kansas City.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Arts Technology Management from the University of Central Missouri and a Commercial Arts Certificate from the Joe Herndon Area Vocational Technical School.

Padilla Joins Allen Press as VP of Sales

LAWRENCE, Kan. – February 2, 2016 Allen Press, Inc. is proud to announce that Martine Padilla has been appointed Vice President of Sales and will join the organization in mid-February.

Padilla brings over 30 years of print industry experience to the position in which she will lead sales strategy for printing, distribution, online content hosting and publishing management.

“We are very excited to add Martine to our team. Her knowledge and experience will be a major asset to our company and to all of our customers,” said Randy Radosevich, Allen Press CEO.

Most recently, Padilla served as Retail Production Manager with Sprint’s marketing division and held prior positions as Print Director at Callahan Creek, where she led its Los Angeles graphics and print purchasing team onsite at Toyota Motor Sales, and as Vice President at Mainline Printing in Topeka, where she helped build its Holographic division. She also served as Executive Director of the non-profit Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP).

“I have known of Allen Press, and its outstanding reputation, throughout my printing career. I am so excited to be joining the team in Lawrence,” said Padilla.

Padilla was recognized by PIA Mid-America as a candidate for Print Evangelist of the Year in 2015, an award to honor individuals who share knowledge and insights with the rest of the industry.

Padilla’s educational credentials include a Graphic Printing Certification from Topeka’s Washburn Institute of Technology, certificates for Sustainability and Social Responsibility from the Institute of Supply Management and a Certificate of Excellence, G7 Master Printer from Idealliance.

Allen Press Announces New CEO Randy Radosevich

LAWRENCE, Kan .– January 18, 2016 Allen Press, Inc., a longtime print and service provider for trade and scholarly publications, is proud to announce the appointment of Randy Radosevich as Chief Executive Officer effective today, January 18.

“After conducting a thorough selection process, our leadership group feels confident that Randy will help Allen Press continue to pursue our mission of serving and supporting those societies and organizations that require print and publication services,” said Rand Allen, President of Allen Press. “Randy is an experienced leader and proven businessman whose background encompasses extensive executive level experience leading companies and teams to realize their full potential. Radosevich joins Allen Press from Henry Wurst, Inc., where he managed its Kansas City printing plant. Prior to Henry Wurst, Randy was the Executive Vice President of TNG Central Division, a leading publishing/periodical distribution company in North America. He also served for more than 10 years in the United States Air Force.

Radosevich will succeed Dee Ann Berry, who has been serving as the Interim CEO for Allen Press since January 1, 2016. Berry will remain at Allen Press as Chief Operating Officer.
